C\u2019est un embouteillage Single Cask et brut de f\u00fbt. Ce baril a \u00e9t\u00e9 embouteill\u00e9 pour le 30e anniversaire de Charles Hofer SA et a donn\u00e9 286 bouteilles.<\/p>\n<p>Contrairement au fameux Blend Original de Chairman\u2019s, dans lequel sont mari\u00e9s des rhums de divers alambics de Saint Lucia Distillers, ce rhum a \u00e9t\u00e9 distill\u00e9 exclusivement dans l\u2019alambic Vendome Pot Still. Le Vendome Pot Still a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en service en 2003 et a une capacit\u00e9 d\u2019environ 1300 litres. Ce Pot Still se trouvait avant chez Trinidad Distillers Ltd (Angostura). Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un alambic en cuivre sur lequel est plac\u00e9e une colonne de cuivre \u00e0 huit plateaux.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Couleur:<\/strong> acajou fonc\u00e9 moyennement<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nez:<\/strong> Fruits exotiques tels que banane et ananas, fruit de la passion; rappelle la sauce cr\u00eape Suzette<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bouche:<\/strong> \u00e9quilibr\u00e9 et s\u00e9chant; notes de caramel, vanille et caf\u00e9; r\u00e9chauffant et en m\u00eame temps frais, pour finir des notes l\u00e9g\u00e8res et agr\u00e9ables de gomme<\/p>\n<p><strong>Finale:<\/strong> tr\u00e8s long et persistant<\/p>\n<p>La famille Barnard s\u2019est install\u00e9e \u00e0 Sainte-Lucie dans les ann\u00e9es 1930 et a fond\u00e9 sa distillerie de rhum. Ils produisaient des rhums de m\u00e9lasse issue des \u00e9normes plantations de canne \u00e0 sucre de l\u2019\u00eele. La mont\u00e9e de la betterave \u00e0 sucre en Europe a \u00e9galement entra\u00een\u00e9 la chute de l\u2019industrie du sucre \u00e0 Sainte-Lucie. Cela a eu un impact n\u00e9gatif sur la production croissante de rhum de l\u2019\u00eele. Quand il ne restait que deux distilleries de rhum, elles fusionn\u00e8rent pour former Saint Lucia Distillers et combin\u00e8rent leur production dans la pittoresque vall\u00e9e de Roseau. Malgr\u00e9 ces difficult\u00e9s, Laurie Barnard ne s\u2019est pas d\u00e9courag\u00e9e; il a cr\u00e9\u00e9 le Chairman\u2019s Reserve, le rhum qui existe encore aujourd\u2019hui et qui est synonyme pour la culture du rhum \u00e0 Sainte-Lucie. Depuis 2016, St. Lucia Distillers appartient au Groupe Bernard Hayot, qui a son si\u00e8ge en Martinique (et auquel appartiennent \u00e9galement les marques de rhum Cl\u00e9ment et J.
