In the heart of the Boyne Valley, the Cooney family devotes great care to producing the finest Irish malt and pot still whiskies.The Boann Distillery started its own production in 2019. Bottlings from casks purchased from other companies are currently available under the brand name “The Whistler”.
Master distiller Aine O’Hara learnt the craft from internationally renowned master distiller John McDougall, who works as a consultant for the distillery. He is the only person to have distilled all five different types of Scotch whisky, as well as Irish whiskey.
