The world needs more visionaries – one such was Harold J. Currie (1924–2016). When he opened the Isle of Arran Distillery in Lochranza almost exactly 31 years ago, it caused a sensation. Yet he was to be proved right. We, too, have always believed in this vision, and we are proud to be the first and sole importer of this distillery in Switzerland.
Today, we crown this achievement with the first official bottling of a 30-year-old whisky – produced from whiskies distilled during the first nine months of the distillery’s operation. A milestone!
Isle of Arran
The Isle of Arran lies between the mainland and the elongated Kintyre peninsula. It is often referred to as “Scotland in miniature” due to its scenic features and charms. There has been a legal distillery there again since 1995, the Lochranza Distillery. Since 2018, there has even been a second one under the same ownership, the Lagg Distillery.
