Rosebank – as ‘ghost distillery’ nears revival

Rosebank 31 Year Old

70 cl  | 48.1 %

Rosebank Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky has launched a rare bottling drawn from casks that were salvaged before the distillery’s untimely closure in the early 1990s. The latest limited edition bottling – a rare 31 year old bottling – is now available.

The official tasting note

An enticingly light and vibrant limited 31-year-old bottling that starts with citrus notes, soft vanilla and candied almonds. Chamomile, berries and baked banana flatter the palate with the signature soft finish of sweet peach, oak and herbal notes.

Against a legendary backdrop

Near Falkirk, just three miles from Rosebank Distillery, a first tasting was held at the legendary Kelpie sculpture. Four leading whisky personalities were invited to the event against this magical backdrop: Becky Paskin, Brad Japhe, Moa Nilsson and Thijs Klaverstijn.

Reopening 2023

The Rosebank Distillery is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2022, with the official opening taking place in early 2023.
