Smokehead is a brand of Ian Macleod Distillers.
Ardbeg, Lagavulin, Laphroaig, etc. – all distilleries rumoured to be responsible for the contents of Smokehead. Although the directional arrows sometimes point to one distillery and sometimes to another, there is no absolute guarantee as to where Ian Macleod sources the distillate. However, since Smokehead can be described as an Islay single malt whisky, it quickly becomes clear that, due to the designation “Single Malt”, it must come from a single distillery and is therefore not a blended malt or blended Scotch.
