As in the previous year, the Matsui gin produced by Matsui Shuzo, “The Hakuto Premium”, impressed at the World Gin Awards 2025 and was honoured with the prestigious Gold Award.
In a competition in which over 900 renowned brands from 47 countries took part, the recognition of “The Hakuto Premium” is a highly remarkable achievement.
The Hakuto Premium Japanese Gin
Exquisitely blended with a total of 14 carefully selected botanicals including Juniper berry, coriander seeds, orange peel, yuzu peel, Japanese sansho pepper, gyokuro, sakura (cherry blossom), black pepper, nashi pears, which is a speciality of Tottori Prefecture and five other premium botanicals.
Matsui Gin “The Hakuto Premium” is a gem proudly produced by Kurayoshi Distillery. Finished with spring water obtained from Mt. Daisen, the mixture of botanicals has created a spicy yet sweet and refreshing complex gin.
Hakuto means “white rabbit” and is also named after a myth from Tottori Prefecture where the Kurayoshi Distillery resides.
Fresh, yet spicy aromas with a peppery note and complex Japanese botanicals at 47% abv, gives this gin maximum flavor with depth and intensity.
