Over the last few years, we have been secretly expanding our tequila and mezcal range. High time to share this with you.
It all started in the spring of 2015 when Simon Schmidlin and I got involved with mezcal for the first time. We saw potential and made a commitment to our then newly acquired partner of half a pallet per year, maximum – we sold over 3 pallets of this mezcal alone last year.
Mezcal
- Amarás (formerly known as Amores) – our most important mezcal and one of the most popular in the bar scene. The undisputed leaders are fEspadin Joven and Espadin Verde.
- Bozal – traditionally produced and bottled in clay bottles. Be it Sacrificio’s, Reserva’s or Single Maguey’s – there is plenty to discover.
- Vago – when a hospital stay turns into a business – family is a top priority, produced in small batches and by hand.
Tequila
- Ocho – a single estate tequila produced by the Camarena family in a slow, artisanal way using only agave from their own fields.
- Pasote – exclusive tequilas that can also compete with the huge brands – brand new, the Blanco Still Strength with 55 % vol.
